    The short version: Warranty Tracker does not collect, transmit, or share any of your data.
    Everything you enter — items, photos, categories, settings — stays stored locally on your own device only.
    We have no servers, no analytics, and no way to see your data even if we wanted to.
  

What information the app stores

To function, Warranty Tracker stores the following only on your device:

Item details you enter (name, retailer, price, dates, notes, category)
Photos you choose to attach (product photos and receipt photos)
Your app preferences (sort order, date format, reminder settings, dark mode)

None of this data ever leaves your device. It is not uploaded to any server, and the app's developer has no access to it.

Permissions the app requests

Photo library access — used only when you choose to attach a product or receipt photo to an item. The app does not access your photos at any other time.
Notifications — used to remind you before an item's warranty expires. These reminders are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device.

Data sharing

We do not share, sell, or transmit your data to any third party, because we do not have access to it in the first place. The app has no backend server and makes no network requests involving your personal data.

Exporting your data

The app includes an optional export feature that lets you share a backup of your own data (as a file you choose where to send). This is initiated by you and goes only to the destination you select — it does not pass through us.

Children's privacy

Warranty Tracker is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, regardless of age, since it does not collect information at all.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new "last updated" date.
